Franciska Anna Beļāne (2000) is a young artist who completed her bachelor's degree in Visual Communication at the Art Academy of Latvia in 2024. She further enhanced her knowledge at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (KASK & Conservatorium) in Belgium, specializing in Media Arts. Since 2020, she has been creating and participating in exhibitions and projects both in Latvia and internationally. Interested in working with various media, installation and mixed-media inviting the viewer to contemplate the role on environment, memory, and perception in shaping one's understanding of the world. The human being and the processes that occur within, their mutual distances often become basis of her works. They are represented as associative landscape connections and symbols, thus becoming multi-layered thought processes that encourage reflection on past experiences and their significance in personal development or actions. Reflecting both the inner (often conflict) and outer life and experiences of ones being.
